Bounces List Edit The Bounces Edit screen allows adding and deleting entries in the Bounces list. The Bounces list stores addresses that are known to bounce spam reports [i.e. Do not exist, do the ridiculous by runing spam filters on or exhibit other annoying behavior]. SpamX will not send spam reports to addresses contained in the Bounces List. The Bounces list can also be preloaded from a text file. Use the Bounces edit screen for specific addresses you need to add to or delete from the Bounces List. USAGE NOTES: The Bounces List is primarily intended for email addresses. Be careful adding just a domain to the Bounces List unless you are sure ALL addresses for that domain bounce. Generally, addresses that result in Delivery Status Notifications [DSNs] reporting failures due to nonexistent addresses or abuse addresses that run spam filters are candidates for immediate addition. Addresses sending back DSNs that report 'over quota' conditions should only be added if that condition is persistent over time as 'over quota' conditions can reasonably be expected to correct themselves. Item Description Remove Remove the selected list entry. Show Limit the list display to the entry in the corresponding field. Available choices are "Contains" and "Starts With" the text in the field. Press the Enter or Return key when finished typing into the field to activate the criteria. Add Add the entry in the "Bounce Address" field to the list. OK Save any changes and exit. If there is an address in the "Bounce Address" field when this button is pressed, it will be added to the list. Cancel That would be the "I changed my mind" button.
