Check Spam is the main interface for all spam received.
Check Spam allows viewing the Source of the email with all headers without going through the special gyrations required by normal mail clients we might be familiar with, allows viewing mail in Normal mode which includes viewing HTML mail, allows parsing the mail to determine the ultimate source of the spam, allows previewing and sending of reports to the top level ISPs for the source and website links and email links in the spam body as well as any other addresses included in the Additional Addresses list and provides for maintenance of the saved spam folders.

Check Spam also allows single click add of any email address from any received mail to the Friends List or it's domain to the Block List and a Resend button that automatically adds the senders email address to the Friends file and forwards the mail back to your mailserver.

Click any button or control in the image above for information on that item.

Item Description
Controls The buttons at the top of the Check Spam window all operate on the currently selected spam except the ones labeled "Empty Trash", "+PasteSpam" and "Close".

Empty Trash does what it indicates when either the Inbox or Trash folder is selected as the active folder. When the Sent or Resent folders are selected, the Empty Trash button changes to indicate it will empty the currently selected folder.

The +Paste Spam button opens the new Paste Spam Interface to allow the pasting of an email with full headers to be parsed and added to the Check Spam list for reporting.

Close closes the Check Spam window.
Spam List The Spam List displays the list of spams intercepted by SpamX just like a normal email client. The list is sorted by date RECEIVED with the most recent at the top. Note that this may be different than the date shown in the Date field as many spammers set the date on their computer FAR AHEAD of the real date in an attempt to keep their spam at the TOP of a date sorted inbox. Selecting a spam in the list displays the contents of the spam in the Contents area.
Contents Area Displays the contents of the email selected in the Spam List. The Contents Area supports viewing the email with all headers [Source Mode] and viewing just the contents of the mail without headers [Normal Mode]. Normal Mode viewing supports HTML mail if the mail is in that format while Source Mode is a text-based viewing mode.
Folder List The Folder List on the left of the Check Spam window contains the Inbox, Trash and Sent folders which may be selected to show the contents of the selected folder in the Spam List.
Info Area The Info Area at the bottom of the Check Spam window displays the current spams directory, the number of files in the currently selected folder and the name and type [format] of the currently selected spam.
