Setup Wizard - Set spam Checking Mode Item Description Instructions Window Displays the instructions for each step in the setup process. Proxy Proxy Mode operation uses the email client's scheduling to control mail checking with SpamX checking all the inbound mail before it is allowed to be passed to the email client.  With Proxy Mode operation there is no chance of a spam "slipping in" between the SpamX schedule and the email client's scheduled run.  Proxy Mode operation also uses the existing email client's account information and does not require entry of email account information in the SpamX Scheduler Accounts, therefore, the Email Accounts Definition step (step 8) described later will be skipped. Refer to Scheduling SpamX Mail Checking for additional details. Scheduled Scheduled Mode checks mail accounts defined in the Accounts List (covered later) at regular intervals defined in the Scheduler Settings configuration option. Clicking the SCHED button off and on again on the Control Strip (the Proxy button shown on that page is replaced according to the selected mode) will also cause the Scheduler to perform an immediate mail check at any time. Manual Manual mode of operation is primarily designed for use with dialup connections where a continuous connection to the Internet cannot be assumed. Manual Mode operation checks mail using the accounts defined in the Accounts List when the MAN button on the Control Strip is clicked. Go Back Click to go back to previous step. Continue Click to continue. Cancel Leave the Setup Wizard.  All data is discarded and the Wizard will start again automatically the next time SpamX is run.
